Description
This Lock Rod Handle Isolator Lock unit is a heavy-duty armoured lock specifically designed for the African market. The patented internal locking mechanism is robust and reliable and can be installed out in the elements without any concern that it will seize.
The locks primary function is to isolate the lock rod handle, thereby not allowing the handle from being turned, thereby preventing the container from opening.
The extension rod adds additional security by connecting the opposite door to the lock.
With the lock open, the claw is installed around the lock rod and handle. Included in the patent is an innovative mechanism that will prevent the lock from locking unless it is installed correctly, i.e. around the handle and lock rod.
The extension rod is fitted with pins that are inserted once the lock has been installed to prevent the removal of the lock from the container.
Lock rod isolator material is laser cut, furnace hardened and manufactured from a 7.1mm carbon steel plate.
This application is utilised all over Africa and is the No 1 locking system for heavy transport, refrigerated containers & trucks, FMCG and various courier companies.
