Container Lashing Bar

Description

Container lashing bar is used when tying down containers onto the deck of a container ship. These lashing bars are used in conjunction with various turnbuckles to tension the container lashings when stacking the containers.

There are 2 different types of lashing bars: the knob lashing bar which should be used with the knob turnbuckle and the eye/swivel head lashing bar which should be used with the jaw/hook turnbuckles. The container lashing bar is manufactured with a swivel head that must be inserted into the corner casting hole, the other end of the bar is then connected to the relevant turnbuckle.

Container lashing bars also come in different lengths to ensure that all vessels have the correct tools when securing a load. Lashing bars come in different lengths dependent on the needs of the shipping vessel. Various lashing bar extensions are also available and these are manufactured to be used with the relevant lashing bar.
